Excellent food for a fair price. I got the combination omelet with a sweet roll. The omelet was delicious and the entire sweet roll tasted like the very center of a "normal" sweet roll. Take the time to go out of the way for breakfast or lunch here!

CLOSED. Was a gem. Smaller than Mayberry, RFD. It's a beautiful drive off I-17. Great menu, daily specials and don't forget they are dessert specialists. Make sure they're open. Genuine hospitality makes one feel welcome throughout the whole visit. If you are lucky you will be greeted by Ralph Nye, the Telescope Guy.

What can I say about Cricket's that hasn't already been said? Any review I could write would be bias. My wife and I love this place. Kay and Ralph have been running this place like a true family café for years. Their food is always great. I have never had anything come out of that kitchen that was not full of the love and attention that Kay offers. The service always makes you feel like your at a friends for breakfast. Ralph, who works at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, loves his astronomy and is always excited to tell you about his heavenly exposures of the night sky. On Saturdays you can enjoy some of Kay's specials that are not offered during the regular week. Her hash brown casserole is one of my favorites. Baked with scallions, cheese and sauce it is crispy on top and hearty in the middle. I love her avocado and bacon omelet. Stuffed with those two ingredients and cheese and nothing more, it will fill you up. Our kids love her French toast and fresh pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. And don't forget that Kay has options for the more health cautious. Her muffins are great, a side of very fresh fruit is always available as a side and she will usually make most of her egg dishes with whites on request. If you are looking for a great, homemade, hearty breakfast with genuine family service with an option of sitting out on the porch, enjoying a beautiful Rimrock morning, you need to make this your next stop.

This place is a hidden gem. Very good coffee and food. They serve homemade cinnamon rolls that are ridiculously good. It's no wonder they've been here 31 years.

Found this gem from a story featured in Arizona Highways magazine and so happy I did. This is a breakfast and lunch cafe, not very big and they have outdoor seating. They are open 7:30am - 2pm Tues through Sat only. Initially I came right before they were closing at 2 pm to get some cinnamon rolls but they were sold out as of 10am already! So the next morning came for breakfast and had their bacon cheese omelette with home fries and a bear claw pastry. Everything was so good, I got some extra bear claws and cinnamon rolls to go. And the service was top notch!! Great prices too and they have smaller portion items on the menu for those who want to leave some room for dessert! I highly recommend.

Cricket's is near the Beaver Creek Inn, where we were staying on a mini-vacation. We had breakfast and with each breakfast, you can choose a pastry item. I had a raspberry bear claw and it was wonderful! The slivered almonds on top and the raspberry sauce inside were just perfect. I was also so happy that my side of fruit was fresh sliced. They gave me a strawberry, a slice of honey dew, cantaloupe, orange, and watermelon. It was all fresh and sweet. I highly recommend this little shop!

I'm so glad my dad introduced me to this cute little sandwich shop last year before he passed away. It's one of my favorite memories with him. Love the cricket decor. The shop is very quaint with a really good lunch menu (and I'm sure their breakfast is really good too). Also glad we splurged for the milkshakes! A nice treat, I would definitely go back.

This is the type of little family run restaurant that is very rare nowadays. There were a few like this back in the northeast where I came from, but after living in the Phoenix area for the past 9 months, I haven't experienced anything like this down there. My girlfriend were in the area for a weekend away from the city when we stopped in here. The atmosphere is like you're in someone's personal dining room; the walls are lined with all astronomy stuff. It's clear the whole family pitches in here which is also really cute. I got an almond Danish and my girlfriend got a cinnamon roll, both clearly made from scratch, and both amazing. Each of our meals were made quickly and tasted like it came from mom's stove, not some commercial griddle. Everything about this place screams homely and it is perfect!
